Maria Bruck-Modlin, DVM, Medical Director

While Dr. Bruck joined the Dublin Animal Hospital team full-time in 2018, many of our clients will remember her from relief work both here and at other area practices prior to that. Dr. Bruck has a Bachelor of Science in Animal Science/PreVet and a Master of Agribusiness from the University of Georgia and a DVM from Virginia Maryland Regional College of Veterinary Medicine.

Building relationships with people and their pets as well as giving owners the information they need for their pet's care and well-being are important to her. Dr. Bruck has a special interest in treating dental disease to alleviate pain in both cats and dogs.

Dr. Bruck's pets include Lucy the mixed breed herding dog; Layla, Mickey and Thomas the cats; Bella and Star the pygmy goats, horses Cinny and Dan; and a small special needs pony named Dancer. Dr. Bruck is an avid gardener and enjoys horseback riding.

Lynda Oleksuk, DVM

Dr. Oleksuk was welcomed to Dublin Animal Hospital in December 2021. She obtained both a Bachelor and a Master of Science in Engineering Mechanics from Virginia Tech and was an actual rocket scientist before enrolling in veterinary school. She knew she wanted to make a difference in the lives of individual pets and their owners.

Prior to working at Dublin Animal Hospital, Dr. Oleksuk gained experience in emergency medicine, several small animal general practices and with a housecall behavior consult service. She is a member of the AVMA.

Dr. Oleksuk has four dogs of her own - Zip and Sherlock (Whippet mixes), Djinn (Australian Shepherd) and Boo (Mudi). She and the pups participate in flyball, frisbee competitions, dog dock diving and other activities.

Molly McCarthy, DVM

A native of Maryland's Eastern Shore, Dr. McCarthy joined the team at Dublin Animal Hospital in June 2023. She earned her undergraduate degree from Virginia Tech and went on to the Virginia-Maryland College of Veterinary Medicine. Dr. McCarthy always had a love of animals growing up, so becoming a veterinarian was a natural fit for her.

Dr. McCarthy is a Fear Free Certified Professional and has special interests in soft tissue surgery, cardiology, and anesthesiology. She loves getting to know new people and their pets and working with the team at Dublin Animal Hospital. Providing pain relief for animals, treating their illness, and helping them along their path to wellness are some of the most fulfilling parts of her career.

At home, Dr. McCarthy has a Collie named Arlo and two cats – Izzy and Ozzy. In her free time, she enjoys going to the gym, hiking, spending time with her husband, and napping! Additionally, she is a talented musician and can play 10 different symphony instruments!

Payton Haynes, DVM, MPH - Practice Manager

Peyton joined Dublin Animal Hospital as Practice Manager in June 2024. Originally from Mississippi, she grew up as an Army brat and her passion for animals was ignited through a Red Cross volunteer program at the Ft. Sill military base animal shelter.

Peyton earned her BS in Animal and Dairy Science from Mississippi State University and later graduated from the Virginia-Maryland College of Veterinary Medicine with a Master of Public Health degree and a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree. Though she prefers managing to practicing, her diverse background enriches her leadership approach.

At Dublin Animal Hospital, her responsibilities include managing daily operations, and she finds joy in interacting with her team and clients, striving to provide the best experience for everyone at the clinic. Peyton is also a Fear Free Certified Professional.

Outside work, she enjoys playing on a competitive billiards team in the APA, hiking, kayaking, and reading. She shares her home with a 3-year-old black cat named Magnolia, or "Maggie" for short.

As a Kennel Technician, Sabrina is responsible for the well-being of the animals in boarding, ensuring they receive the care and attention they need. She loves forming bonds with the animals, particularly helping those that are scared learn to trust others.

Sabrina shares her home with several pets: Jake, her Australian Cattle Dog; Pookie, a Mountain Feist mix; Snowball, an older white cat; and two Mackerel tabbies, one brown/grey and one orange.
